Re-imagining Library Services: A New Collaborative Vision

  • Alan Smith, Chairman NLSA, Australia
  • National & State Libraries Australasia (NSLA) has developed the Re-imagining Library Services Strategic Plan 2008-2013 to create new services for our users. We aim to harness the opportunities provided by digital technologies and the strong commitment to collaboration across the member libraries, to enable a period of rapid change. It requires significant investment and the establishment of new collaborative working structures across our libraries.

This session will introduce the plan, its vision, themes and projects, and invite exploration of how these strategic directions are relevant to other parts of the library sector.
