Alice Springs Convention Centre

The Alice Springs Convention Centre is a modern, architecturally stunning building with great facilities and is set against a fabulous background of red desert rock and blue skies. It is an impressive centre and can meet all delegates' needs, with in-house services such as catering, technical expertise, security and car parking. There is plenty of excellent accommodation available nearby with a hotel, Lasseters, connected to the Convention Centre.

Alice Springs is the heart of Australia, the capital of the Outback, it's the red sand of the desert, it's where the traditional owners of the land, the Arrernte peoples have lived for thousands of years and where pioneer men and women gave 'tough' a new meaning. It's where they race camels, hold regattas in dry river beds and watch the sunset over the MacDonnell Ranges - it's the Northern Territory in all its splendour.

The history and heritage of Alice Springs overflows with a rich cast of characters - in the late 1800s and early 1900s, only the most intrepid pioneers braved its rugged environment. From Afghan cameleers to flying doctors, today it is possible to pay homage to their legacy at various historic sites around the town.

Despite its beginning as a remote outpost, present day Alice is well appointed and culturally rich thanks to the influence of visitors from all over the world. Situated on the banks of the Todd River (which only occasionally runs with water) it has excellent restaurants, an energetic nightlife and hosts a calendar of quirky and exciting events all year round.
